Vanguard School of Ministry Policies

Standard of Conduct

Students will seek to “be imitators of God” with “not even a hint of sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity,” living as “children of light” and finding out “what pleases the Lord” (Eph. 5:1-12). This standard governs our personal and public life.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually. Exceptions to this policy will be made only for extreme circumstances and emergencies. If a student’s absesnces and tardies total more than 10% of the classes in the school year, it is likely that the student will not receive a Certificate of Completion.

Discipline

The freedom of our environment requires a high level of self-management. Any student struggling to make wise choices will receive quick and direct confrontation, which is designed to help draw out the greatness within the student. Our leaders will work to apply strength and grace in the necessary areas of students’ lives.

Withdrawl

Any student who wishes to withdraw from Vanguard School of Ministry must do the following:

  • Arrange an appointment with a Vanguard leader to discuss the reasons for withdrawing from the school.

  • Tuition refunds to be determined on a case by case basis.

Graduation Requirements

To be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Satisfactorily complete DVD curriculum and course requirements (including reading 8-10 approved books while in school).
  • Participate in outreach and inreach ministry
  • Satisfactorily fulfill class attendance requirements
