About Us
Vanguard Ministries was founded in 2005 in Branson, MO by Tracy Mooney.
Vanguard was founded as a non-profit 501c3 ministry in order to establish a means of raising financial support for ministry projects in the nations of Sri Lanka and India, raising awareness and advancing the work this ministry is called to do.
Vanguard will be joining with another church in Sri Lanka to open a home for girls in Columbo, Sri Lanka by 2010. This home will be a place of refuge and intense discipleship and practical life skills training for unwed mothers, girls with eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, depression, and other challenges.
A second home is in the works to be established in Branson, MO. Click Here for more details.
The Vision of Vanguard Ministries
We Believe We are Called To:
Write the vision down and make it plain, that whoever reads it may run with it. Habakkuk 2:2
- Fulfill the Father’s will, that it be done on earth as it is in heaven
- Establish a girl’s home in Branson, MO and in other nations for women in need of assistance and direction, bringing stability, success, and freedom from life-controlling problems through the freedom of Chris who sets us free!
- Work in the harvest field, and raise up laborers for the harvest: Missions to India, Sri Lanka, and others as the Lord opens doors.
- Plant a church in the Southern Missouri/Northern Arkansas region which creates and maintains an atmosphere for the presence of God, giving His Holy Spirit free reign, breaking down walls of religion, tradition, familiarity, and unbelief, meeting the needs of those who seek Him.
- Live in a state of revival. Continually reviving and refiring God’s people.
- Facilitate an outpouring of God’s Spirit and blessing under an open heaven.
- Provide training and equipping for believers to carry out His will, empowered with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Reveal Jesus to a lost and hurting world, following His example, conforming to His image, bringing salvation, healing, and deliverance from oppressing spirits by the authority given to us in the name of Jesus.
- Bring glory to His name and live out of the glory He has given us. To walk and live by faith.
- Display the gospel as truth, the Father bearing witnesses to us through signs, wonders, and miracles.
- Restore faith, hope, love, and holiness.
For the vision shall surely come to pass! Habakkuk 2:3
What We Believe
We believe there is one God who lives forever in three persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matt. 28:19 We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to the world, speaking to us with authority and without error. 2 Tim. 3:16-17
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love. Jn. 1:14-18; 1 Thess. 4:16-18
We believe that all mankind is lost in sin and needs to turn from it and trust personally in the Saviour, Jesus Christ; all need to be born anew by the Holy Spirit’s power into God’s family. Eph. 2:1-10; Jn. 3:5-7
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He works in and through us with His charismatic gifts. He wants us to continually allow Him to fill us. Gal. 5:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:7-11
We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgment for the lost. Matt. 25:31-46
We believe in unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and the need to seek community together. We want to become more like Him in every way, who is the head of His body, the Church. We are called to love Him and one another and are enabled to do this only as His life flows in and through us. 1 Cor. 12:12-13; Matt. 22:37-40
We believe that marriage is the basic human relationship between a man and a woman, and as such is intended to reflect the relationship between Jesus Christ the Bridegroom and His bride the church (Gen 2:18-25, Eph 5:25
